At Peak Occupational Therapy, every child’s journey begins with understanding — and grows through connection, creativity, and collaboration. We provide comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment sessions, and parent consultation services designed to support your child’s development across all areas of daily life. Our goal is simple: to help every child Rise to New Heights - at home, at school and beyond.
Therapy sessions are offered in our Apex clinic, which provides a sensory rich environment which provides opportunities for play, learning, and growth in a safe, supportive place.
Evaluations
Understanding your child’s strengths and needs
Every successful therapy journey starts with a clear understanding of your child. During the occupational therapy evaluation, we take time to get to know your child’s strengths, challenges, and what motivates them.
Evaluations may include:
Standardized and play-based assessments
Clinical observation of sensory, motor, and self-regulation skills
Parent interview and developmental history
Review of medical or school reports
Afterward, you’ll receive a detailed written report summarizing your child’s abilities, areas of need, and individualized recommendations. We’ll review the results together, answer your questions, and create a therapy plan designed specifically for your child.
Our goal is to make sure you feel informed, supported, and confident in understanding your child’s needs.
Treatment Sessions
Fun, purposeful, and progress-driven
Therapy at Peak Occupational Therapy is all about learning through play! Sessions are designed to be engaging, dynamic, and carefully tailored to your child’s goals — whether they take place in our sensory-rich clinic or your familiar home environment.
Treatment may focus on:
Sensory processing and self-regulation
Fine and gross motor coordination
Handwriting and visual-motor integration
Feeding and oral motor development
Executive functioning and attention
Emotional regulation and coping skills
We continually monitor progress and adapt sessions to keep therapy fun, effective, and motivating. Parents are welcome to observe and participate, ensuring strategies learned in therapy carry over into daily routines at home and in the community.
Every step in therapy is a step toward independence — and a chance for your child to rise to new heights.
Parent Consultation & Collaboration
Support that extends beyond the therapy session
We believe that empowering parents is one of the most important parts of therapy. Through parent consultation sessions, we help families understand their child’s unique sensory and developmental profile — and how to best support their growth at home.
Consultations may include:
Education on sensory processing, self-regulation, or motor development
Home activity ideas and sensory diet recommendations
Strategies for building routines and supporting emotional regulation
Collaboration with teachers, tutors, or other professionals involved in your child’s care
Whether in person or virtually, these sessions give parents practical, easy-to-implement tools that make everyday life smoother and more successful for everyone.
When parents feel supported and confident, children thrive.
